Not every dignitary visit to Beverly Hospital includes a special request to see one of our doctors; but when Senator Tony Mendoza visited in June, he and his wife were delighted to see Dr. Lydia Aguilera. Dr. Aguilera, who was recently recognized by the medical staff for excellent patient care, happens to be the Mendoza’s maternity doctor. She has delivered each of their children here at Beverly! The visit was occasion for a brief reunion– until she was called to deliver another baby.
The Senator’s visit also included an update on the rest of the hospital. He met with Administrative Leadership and toured the Emergency Care Center to learn about the transformation the hospital is undergoing. During the meeting, he reiterated his support for the services the hospital offers the 32nd Senate District. The morning included the presentation of a certificate of recognition “in honor of [Beverly’s] 68 years of unyielding guardianship and community devotion to public health.”
There is no doubt that Senator Tony Mendoza is part of our Beverly family.
